How It Works

Storyfriend creates a soft toy with a discreet speaker system inside and sets up your voice for storytime. We provide the toy pre-installed and ready to use. From your phone, you choose a story and press play - and your child hears your voice reading from inside the toy. The speaker is completely hidden, so the toy looks and feels like a normal cuddly toy. They’ll only notice one thing: your voice at bedtime.

Personalised Story-Time

Storyfriend is for parents who want to keep bedtime calm and connected - especially on busy days, during travel, or when you can’t be there in person. Unlike screen-based solutions, it supports a simple, consistent bedtime routine: a familiar voice, a soft toy, and a story. Designed for both parent and child: easy to use, private by design, and built to help bedtime feel safe and predictable.

With your permission, we can create a natural-sounding replica of your voice and generate a small library of stories read by you. You provide a short recording sample, and we use ElevenLabs to create the voice. Stories can also be personalised with your child’s name and little details they love. You can even include narrations from other family members — so everyone can be part of storytime.

Privacy & Security

No Wi-Fi required for the toy. You control playback from your phone, and the toy plays audio through a speaker. The toy is not connected to the internet.
